Hello! Welcome to '8-Finger Tapping Scales - Aeolian #1'! It's time to learn some scales - the two hand way.
The basic idea in this lesson is to play the minor scale 3 + 3 notes per string.
As the diagram below shows, the blue dots represent the notes played by your left hand, and the green dots represent the notes played by your left (tapping) hand.
That means, you are using two scale positions, the first and the third, skipping one.
Since the tapping hand has already played the notes from the next string below, in order to play the scale notes continuously, we must skip the string below, and continue on the next string.
The exercise in this lesson will help your fingers to 'memorize' the scale shapes, of the joined positions.
