absolutely beautiful
I love the idea how slides carry the theme all over the solo and the twists the bends make. A rocking solo with emotion and surprise - excellent job man!

Hi GMC-ers!
In this lesson I am going to illustrate how you can use bends and slidings in a rock ballad solo. Many guitar players use these techniques ( Joe Satriani, Steve Vai, George Lynch, etc.)and we can also make our playing more interesting with these elements.
The key is E minor. In the beginning we play a simple E minor scale at the 7th fret, but we use some slides and this part is ended at the second fret. Then it is continued at the first fret in an open string E blues pentatonic scale and after a bit of blues playing we are in D mixolydian at the fifth fret. The next part uses the same scale combined with an E minor at the 7th fret again. The last part starts from the same position and with some slided notes it’s continued at the 12th fret, hencefoward in E minor. After some bended notes we close the solo in an E minor scale.
Techniques:
-slidings
-bends
-pull over
-hammer on
-pulm muting
-arpeggio
-staccatto
Good practicing!
