Epic Tales - 1 String Legato Etude

Hi everyone!

I am Shai Agmon, a guitarist and guitar teacher from Holland (originally from Israel), and this is my first lesson here at GMC!

This is a 1 string- legato etude, in the style of power/heavy metal. It is ideal for improving your pull-off and hammer on technique and getting started with legato shredding riffs.

1 string shred riffs are a great (and fun) way to build your chops! it sounds very impressive, musical and cool, and is (relatively) easy to start with and get to high speeds with.

This etude is in the key of E minor and goes through all of the neck (all different positions) - so it is also a great way to familiarize yourselves with the different positions of the E minor scale on the first string.

Musically, the etude is inspired by Yngwie Malmasteen, Rhapsody, Iron Maiden, etc. Hope you enjoy playing along with the backing tracks!
