Fingerstyle Blues Patterns

Hello GMC!

In this lesson, I present 4 basic fingerstyle blues patterns that will allow you to gain independence between the thumb and fingers of the right hand.

The thumb plays a regular rhythm chanting the time, the other fingers play the melody on the other strings.
It is crucial to acquire this independence in order to be able to play entire songs or solos in fingerstyle blues style.

As you can see in the video I put the palm of my right hand on the fifth and fourth string.
This allows me to get a more beautiful sound, the bass should not cover the other notes. Try it.

Perform the exercises very slowly at first, then gradually increase the speed until you master the technique.
