Thank you Ben!
Excellent lesson Cosmin, and your explanations are very thorough !! :-)
Thank you! I promise to stay consistent in this method : ) it is important to fully understand how everything sounds and I strongly believe that your ears should help you a lot, once you get to distinguish every note : ) good luck!
I love the method of your teaching! I haven't see that done before. Of course, I haven't been here very long, so I don't know. But I like how you played slowly with the track, instead of just teaching with no backing. Welcome! Great to have you at GMC!! Great first lesson!!

Here is Cosmins intro thread!
Hi GMC'ers! My name is Cosmin and this is my first lesson here at GMC. This is the first part out of a series of concept lessons which I symbolically entitled: "The Groove".
My goal regarding this series, would be to give everyone interested in rhythm playing and development, a thorough insight on combining creativity, dynamics, feel, and control.
This particular lesson, "Funk Metal Riff" is a actually a funk metal riff, inspired by Mr. Nuno Bettencourt of Extreme, and it is played in the key of E.
In the mean time, stay focused, feel, study with your head not only with your hands and most important, never forget to enjoy music.
