  • Hey everybody! How are you? On this new lesson we’ll work the Sweep Picking style of Jason Becker, but in 5/4 time signature.

We’ll work on 3, 4, 5, and 6 strings sweeps with legatos over the C major scale. We have to pay extra attention to not let little silences on the arpeggios changing and stay with the right note duration, because these are techniques very difficult to control.
The key is Am, and, in some moments, I’m adding E of the Harmonic A minor. Tempo is on 105bpm.

For those who aren’t into Jason Becker music, I highly recommend, apart from his first solo album “Perpetual Burn” and the Cacophony’s cd’s, I personally recommend the album “A Little Ain’t Enough” of David Lee Roth, where Jason Becker shows all his versatility and good taste.
Hope you enjoy this lesson and helpful.
See ya on the next one!!
