Hi Geo, nice to meet you here. You are right, I'm sorry about it. I wonder if you've tried transposing the notes in Guitar Pro, so you can see the fretboard notes for standard tuning. Do you think that this could help?
Hi Zsolt. I'm not sure doing this lesson with your guitar tuned to D was the best way to go. It seems like Satch's guitar is in standard tuning for this solo, and it would have been better if your guitar was tuned the same. The viewer now has to either tune his guitar down a full step, or re-think your entire lesson (when you say 14th fret, I play 12th).
Thank you! I used GR4 here.
Always love your Satch covers Zsolt - you nail both his tone and technique!
Excellent version Zsolt.. that's not an easy solo to replicate but you've nailed it as always !! :-D
Excellent performance!
Awesome playing and legato!
You sound just like him! You are good!!
What gear did you use? love the rich fat tone.
Yup this is cool ! Thanx Zsolt
Happy New Year
Thank you all!
Well done. Great legato's. Love it
Great lesson Zsolt! Really amazing tone!
Thanks.
i LOVE it man, great tone!
this brings back memories. Great solo example
I really like your tone here. This solo is very useful to improve the legato technique, since Joe is a master on this topic.
Thank you!
That was really cool!
Got to learn this !
Hi GMC'ers!
In this lesson I made an attempt to cover Satch's Rubina's Blue Sky Happiness from his CD entitled "The Extremist". This is one of my all-time-favorite Satch solos.
The song is originally in E. Since I tune to D, I made an attempt to play it in D, but it sounded wierd, so I used the original tuning for the backing track and played it 2 frets higher. If you are tuned to E, I suggest you play it 2 frets lower than I do, so you'll be in the correct tuning.
