Nevermore is one of my fav bands of all time, and Loomis is one insanely sick guitarist (and drummer) and composer. Thank you for doing this! I really really hope you continue to put up Nevermore lessons -- so many great riffs and licks, endless hours of guitar carnage! Thanks again! m/

Oh my I tried to hide under my desk but I think you shot me down anyway, fantastic playing and brutality Attila!
Dear GMC buddies,
Here I am with a Nevermore lesson again. At this time I’m gonna show You the heaviest and fastest part of the epic and classis This Godless Endeavor. This part of the song shows how creative and techical Jeff Loomis really is. His legendary alternate picking could causes a headache for any guitarist out there and he is also well known of changing the time measures on a very cool and uniqe progressive way. Even though the he plays as perfect as a machine Jeff also always has the emotion in his playing (bendings, slides, pinch harmonics etc.). There are some fake notes here and there which gives a wide dynamic scale and awesome vibe to the riffs.
Have a nice practise my friends!
Techniques/scales were used:
Alternate pickings
Slides
"Fake notes”
Bendings
Diminished "sort of" chords
Cheerio,
Attila
