J adore l harmonie quartale!
Hey deanwork - have you by any chance read my private message? I wrote about Stephane's lessons and the notations
These are all D-7th chords?
I can't read this tab stuff. It's like a strange language to me. Is it possible to have this stuff written out in musical notation or chord forms in a grid?
Stephane.
Are these chords written out in grid form somewhere?
LOVE THIS!!! thanks!!!
Thanks Marcus!

Awesome lesson! And your sound is so cool!

A nice aplication of this stuff can be found on the comping of Mile's So What by Bill Evans.
Very cool groove, and the sound is just awesome!

hey i love your guitar tone and the overall mix, great job!
Cool lesson Stephane, jazzy
Hi GMC!
In this lesson we gonna learn the C Dorian scale (or mode) harmonized in 4ths.
These shapes are in my opinion very useful tools to create some melodic movement
in your comping, to improvive with chords or to enrich a melody... You also get some
nice and modern sounding chords!
To get these quartal voicings, we are simply stacking 4ths within C Dorian mode :
> C - F - Bb - Eb
> D - G - C - F
etc...
So there are 7 shapes on the middle 4 strings and 7shapes on the top 4 strings.
Have fun!
Stephane
