This is a very cool one, Laszlo! The tone is also awesome.
Very good lesson topic and playing Laszlo!
Excellent playing, Laszlo! Love this lesson!
There are great solo parts in this lesson. The 3 part minor approach is also very useful.
So thanks for another great lesson.
Yep some George spirit is in it:) Especially at the beginning. I think I'm gonna give this lesson a try, lately I am trying to learn the minor scale, as having only pentatonic scale at my disposal (and not knowing it inside out) is not enough even for me;)
Hi GMC-ers!
Welcome to my new lesson, in which I would like to give some ideas on how we can use an E minor scale in three positions and how we can switch between them! Some parts of this solo reminds me a bit to George Lynch’s style. I guess his playing is unique.
The key of this lesson is E minor. We use three E minor scales. At the first the seventh and the eleventh fret
The solo begins in E minor at the 7th fret and after some slided notes we continue it with some open string blues patterns in the first and the second mode henceforward in E minor. Then this part is closed at the 7th fret again. The third part is at the 12th fret. Here we use mainly the E blues pentatonic scale.
And in the last part a simple melody playing from a 7th fret E minor scale again.
I hope you’ll enjoy this lesson!
The lesson contains the following techniques:
-bends
-slidings
-vibrato
-palm muting
-alternate picking
-scales
Good practicing!
