Love it Conrad - nothing beats smooth flowing arpeggio lines! Great to see a new lesson from you!
No series on tapping would be complete without the application of this technique to the playing of arpeggios. Due to the wide interval nature of arpeggios, some techniques lend themselves well to this idea...sweeping, string skipping and tapping are three of those techniques.
This example features some string skipped and tapped arpeggio patterns, and also some scalear runs and sequences. There is an element of multi-finger tapping in this exercise, but i have not focused too strongly on this area.
Theoretically, the exercise is loosely based around Bm, with a 9/8 time signature that changes 2/3rds of the way through.
You can approach this lesson either to play it note for note, or to try a part of it and apply it into your playing, to create new ideas.
Equipment used in this lesson was a Framus Diablo Custom guitar, through a Boss GT6 effects unit, from which i used a light flanger and delay on the lead guitar, and a string mute just above the nut. I recorded the breakdown video parts on around half volume on the guitar.
In part four of this series, we will be looking at some examples for players just starting out with the tapping technique.
Happy tapping, and I hope you find the lesson useful. Cheers!
