  • The "Unique Country Bends" lesson takes a look at some unusual licks. A lot of what we have here are some basic country licks but with an added bend. The big feature though is the introduction of two and three string bends (bending two and three strings simultaneously). This is an advanced technique that takes pedal steel licks to the next level. It is highly utilized by the Hellecaster, Jerry Donahue who takes it to the stratosphere. The tone here is typical of chicken picking with a compressed overdrive and some slapjack delay. The picking style is hybrid to get that signature snap.
