  • Hi GMC'ers! Welcome to this new lesson about using the same material for the verse and the chorus. I'm sure you can recall many songs that use this “compositional trick”. The idea is that you see how the same base element can be used for two different parts and still having some very different sections.

    The techniques and elements used in this lesson are:

    * Alternate picking
    * Double stops
    * Octaves
    * Open string riffing
