  • Hi GMC-ers!

Welcome to my new blues lesson!

This is a melodic blues in the style of Eric Clapton and Stevie Ray Vaughan.

In this lesson we can hear a solo in C minor . I use a C blues pentatonic and its different modes and it's completed with the notes of a blues scale.

In the first part I combine the first mode at the 8th fret and the fifth mode at the fifth fret.

In the second part I use a special kind of picking, when I hit the G string with the pick and the E string with my ring finger at the same time. Many of guitar player uses this technique and it is works nicely in blues solos like this one.

    The chord progression:

    Cm7 B F F Cm7 B F F Cm7 B Eb F Ab B F G

I hope you'll enjoy this lesson!
