Wonderful Clapton style interpretation Laszlo - it's all usable and musical!
Hi GMC-ers!
Here is my new lesson for beginners, it can be a bit similar to Eric Clapton' style and sounding. The real classic Fender sound is one of my favourite, many famous guitar player used it and use it nowadays as well. (Jimi Hendrix, Ritchie Blackmore, Yngwie Malmsteen, Steve Ray Vaughan) I hope you'll enjoy this lesson!
The key is D minor, so we'll mix the D pentatonic and the D minor scales in different positions. The first position is at the 10th fret, the second is at the fifth fret. It begins in a simple D pentatonic and this theme is repeated, but the second time we'll play a higher bended note, in the next part a more higher bended notes, then it is closed on the high E string.
The next part contains some scale excercizes, henceforward in D pentatonic and after this we’ll play some melodies in D minor, but for this once already on the fifth fret . At the end of the solo there is a simplier arpeggio part which closes the lesson.
Techniques:
-Bends
-Slides
-Staccatto
-Arpeggio
Have fun!
