Hehe Javier, most probably Mate would be very happy to receive such nice compliments from you!
Hi Mate Nagy. Welcome. I like your playing with this fingerpicking riff reminiscent ZZtop. Saludos y Suerte!!
You've got a great tone for this lesson
Awesome, great familiar riffs!
I really like the way those riffs sound fingerpicked! Great explanation as well, man!
I'm very happy about the welcoming of this lesson
It's a 'secret' but maybe I can tell you, that the second part of this lesson will come soon as a Billy Gibbons style fingerpicking solo lesson, called ZZ-Top fingerpicked II. or something.
The solo goes on the same groove, so learn this groove well and maybe you can jam with your friends on this one
Awesome song, awesome version
very cool man! music for the road!
Great style coverage! Love the groove!
You're accent is cool! (I'm from the south in the USA.)
Groovy! My friend had me listen to these guys once before.
Nice lesson I love ZZ top... You've got a great tone with some good explanation in the 1st video.
Very nice groove, thanks for sharing.
Really rocks. ZZ top lesson is great
that's some sharp dressed guitar man
Thank you Kris!
I'm glad you like it
Awesome topic and very useful spoken explanation Mate!
Hi GMC'ers! In this lesson I composed a tune inspired by ZZ Top's "Sharp Dressed Man"! I transformed this song in order to capture the unique vibe of Billy Gibbon's fantastic guitar playing.
I added a simplified bass line to the rhythm to give it an authentic feel. Later I realized that the base line sounds better if I play it with my thumb instead of the pick (personal preference). It then became a finger picking exercise to a cool song. You can also play this lesson using your pick too, so it can be a hybrid picking exercise also.
