  • Hi guys, Joe Kataldo here, with a nice and tight E minor Rock Rhythm lesson for beginners. Enjoy!

    Beginner Rock Rhythm - E minor - 115 bmp
    ----------------------------------------

    The musical study is divided in three parts:

    a two part rhythm: the first based on a descending power chords idea, a E open riff, played with palm muting, the latter based on the same changes but played open with big and fat power chords;

    A nice and easy short melodic solo based around E minor scale that highlight the chord changes.

    Technique focus
    ---------------

    Try to archive a tight and staccato sound on the first part of the riff, applying the right amount of muting, and an open let ring sound for the second part, fretting all the chords correctly.

    Theory Focus
    ------------

    Everything is based around E minor, no rocket science here :D

    Pro Tips
    --------

    Use the extended jam track to write a solo of your own.

    Have fun practicing. See you next lesson,

    Joe Kataldo.
