Great bluesy feel Bogdan. Very cool bass lesson
Hello GMC!
- In today's lesson we have a new blues bass groove on our hands. As in previous lesson, progression will be all dominant 7 chords one, often called "Chicago Blues".
-In this lesson you are going to learn a new bass groove which you can use to accompany any dominant 7 blues accompaniment. You are going to learn which notes you can use when improvising this type of line and you will practice playing a shuffle rhythm on bass.
-This lesson is in the key of G. You are going to use a appropriate mixolydian scales to improvise your bass line.
-Key: G major
-Tempo: 80 bpm
-Time signature: 4/4
-Tuning: standard
-Difficulty: beginner
Equipment I used for getting this sound was: Am Fender Jazz Bass deluxe, equal mix of both pickups with added bass and middle on onboard preamp - then going to the nemesis (eden) amp with a 1x15" and flat eq there.
Feel free to ask me any questions in the lesson's feedback and in my instructor board at the forum.
Enjoy and I hope you'll have a lot of fun practicing!
