  • Hello GMC!

    - In this lesson you are going to learn some new blues bass grooves! This time we have a modified 12 bar blues progression on our hands. You are going to learn this new form of 12 bar blues.

    - Material in this lesson will teach you how to compose your own blues bass lines to a 12 bar blues type of progression. You will learn how to match scales with chords in order to improvise your bass line. You will also learn a new concept of including passing notes in your lines.

    - This lesson is in the key of C. You are going to use a appropriate mixolydian scales to improvise your bass line.

    -Key: C major
    -Tempo: 80 bpm
    -Time signature: 4/4
    -Tuning: standard
    -Difficulty: beginner

Equipment I used for getting this sound was: Am Fender Jazz Bass deluxe, equal mix of both pickups with added bass and middle on onboard preamp - then going to the nemesis (eden) amp with a 1x15" and flat eq there.

Feel free to ask me any questions in the lesson's feedback and in my instructor board at the forum.

Enjoy and I hope you'll have a lot of fun improvising in this one!
