  • In today's lesson, we'll focus on heavy rhythm guitar. We'll work in the key of E Phrygian dominant. The Phrygian dominant scale is a Phrygian scale with a major third instead of a minor. In the middle section we'll use A and B Dorian for a few measures.

    We'll mostly use an alternate picking technique which will give the guitar part heavier richer sound. Make sure you are familiar with the scale fingerings offered below. As always pay attention to the rhythm placement.
