David, You Rock
Welcome to this new lesson inspired by video game music! Today we will take a look at a happy song that was originally written to fit a puzzle game. Don't be fooled by the first impression of an easy song, this piece of music can be quite tricky without solid foundations.
In order to get a nice clean picking sound, we will use an alternate picking technique. The movement should come from your wrist, not from you forearm. Make sure every note sounds clean and precise. Pay attention to the rhythm placement here. Start at a very comfortable speed and very gradually increase you tempo. You shouldn't feel stressed out by the speed of the backing track at any point. If that happens, you simply need to slow things down until you feel confident enough to move on to the next tempo.
Be patient, serious and keep it fun!
