  • Hello GMC! Welcome to my lesson about another right hand technique..This time we will utilize the alternate right hand finger picking..Most bass players use two or three finger technique. It allows you to play faster and smoother and expands your abilities when it comes to playing more complicated fingerstyle stuff on bass.

In this lesson we are going to cover the two finger technique.I composed this funky groove especially in mind of playing this technique and practicing it along with. When you get it down you can immediately incorporate it in your own bass lines and other songs.

Scale used for composing this groove was A minor pentatonic scale.

    -Key: Am
    -Tempo: 120 bpm
    -Time signature: 4/4
    -Difficulty: beginner

Equipment I used for getting this sound was : Peavey Cirrus bass with active soapbar pickups , equal mix of both of them with added bass and treble on onboard eq - then going to the nemesis(eden) amp with a 1x15" and slightly added bass and treble there (at 1 o'clock position)..

Feel free to ask me any questions in the lesson feedback and in the forum at my instructor board.

Enjoy and have a lot of fun funkin' this one!

    Cheers!
