Clean Rock Singing Lesson

Hello GMC! Today we have a clean rock song recorded with acoustic guitar. In this lesson we’ll do the connection between our mind and our voice, and then between our voice and our guitar using Minor Aeolian Scale. This scale has a sad and dark sound and is very used in different styles like Rock, Heavy Metal, and mostly in ballads.

I have improvised a melody over the backing track in A minor to show you how this scale sounds. Then I recorded some harmonized voices and vocal arrangements (Don’t worry! We’ll talk about that in the future lessons) to make it sound as a complete song.

As we did in the previous lessons we’ll begin to sing the scale, then we’ll copy a guitar pattern with our voice and finally you’ll have to do your own vocal improvisations using A minor over the backing track. Remember that this is a very important training for every musician not only for those that aspire to be a singer.

The backing track is in 120 bpm and has an acoustic guitar playing arpeggios. This can be a good right hand fingers exercise.
