  • Hello GMC!
-In todays lesson we are going to harmonize the major scale using triads. What this means is that we are going to build chords on scale degrees using only notes from that scale. This is a very important lesson for those who want to be more proficient at building bass lines - know your chords!

-We are going to utilize our knowledge about triads so if you haven't check out my lesson series on that topic before starting this one.

-We are going to harmonize the G major scale using triads in this lesson.

    Key: G
    Tempo: 120 bpm
    Time signature: 4/4
    Tuning: standard
    Difficulty: beginner/intermediate

Equipment I've used for getting this sound was: Peavey Cirrus bass with active soapbar pickups, equal mix of both of them with added bass and treble on onboard eq - then going to the nemesis (eden) amp with a 1x15" and slightly added bass and treble there (at 1 o'clock position).

Feel free to ask me any questions in the lesson feedback and in my instructor board at forum.

Enjoy and I hope you'll have a lot of fun playing this one!
