  • Hi GMC! In this lesson there is a cool technique to learn, the double thumb.

This technique is used by bass players like Victor Wooten and a few guitar players incorporated to their repertory of techniques.

The double thumb allows you to make rhythms that are impossible (or almost impossible) to play with the pick or the fingers in the traditional way. The impossibility to skip strings very fast is one of the reasons you may want to learn this technique.

In this etude you have a perpetual motion in triplets with a repeated note in the bass that is played up and down with the thumb.

I hope you enjoy this lesson!
