You play Mark Knopfler style very well - how about giving us a brother in arms lesson ? That's a riveting ballad - what do you think ?
Sounds cool, hope you'll like it!
hm, jup, youre right
and also, my schoolmusicteacher suddenly turn my guitar waaay too loud
but, im planning on getting a line-6 pedal,
so i'll get the 'money for nothing' preset from the custom tone site
Nicely done!
Maybe you should try with less gain next time,
more like overdrive, it'd be better articulated.
ow! i covered this song with my band

nice lesson muris!
Thanks Joe
You Got The Style man...great sounding lesson
No pick here Sigma7,just fingers.
r u usuing a pick or just ur thumb? haha perfect accuracy
Radar Love is great!
Oh, man this one is awesome! I love your use of the blues scale. It sounds so cool, and for some reason reminds me of "Radar Love" by White Lion. Which is a very, very good thing, in my opinion.
Cheers,glad you like it
It's a wonderful piece Muris! Very very nice
Thanks.
That's my custom from MK Guitars.
Lovely playing - what is that guitar?
Thanks buddy!
fantastic lesson Muris!!!!
You're welcome,glad you've joined!
Wonderful Thank's
There isn't Eb note in progression,
that's why it's straight G Dorian.
or are you using it just as a passing note
But,wouldnt the E natural note in the g dorian clash with the eb note found in the porgression as it is in the key of g minor
Hi Rov and welcome to GMC!
That's actually very good question but here's how I see those things.
Dorian mode comes from minor modes family(with minor 3rd)
and I still use to call it key of Gm.
In modern notation it's written with 2 flats(just like natural Gm)
but we release Eb into E each time.
In older stuff it's written with only one flat like "real" G Dorian
but don't be confused with that, just try to like at Dorian mode as a minor mode,
you'll be fine.
Hi Muris, your lessons are great but i JUST WANT TO KNOW WHY ARE YOU USING G DORIAN IF THE PROGRESSION IS IN G MINOR OR Bb Major, you should you should use G Aeolian instead of G dorian or am I wrong
You just mute string/s above the one you're playing the note on(usually with left hand)
and you "pick" it with thumb or/and index, while using ring finger to play "real" note,
on high E string this time.
Really sort of raking, you just use fingers instead of pick.
I hear an A and a D - can you explain exactly where and how you are playing these ghost notes.
Hate to be a PITA, but I cannot tell from the video. Thanks.
Those are "ghost" notes, kind a "raking" but with fingers,
not fretted notes or harmonics.
You may add it or not, doesn't effect the lesson AT ALL.
Thanks for noticing tho.
Muris. In video 4 the first two notes are missing from the tab. I think they are (1) forth string seventh fret harmonic and (2) third string seventh fret - with hybrid picking. Is this correct?
yeah!!!..great lesson...Tocak:)
Same here - that ZZ Top vibe came to mind. Fantastic Muris. I love that style. I will have to learn this one.
Thanks, and I DO like ZZ Top but that's not topic of this lesson.
