  • In today's lesson, we'll work on several licks that will work over a G7 groove. We'll combine several scales to come up with funky licks usable in many different situations.

    As you can see, we'll use some minor scales such a minor pentatonic or Dorian scale and Major scales such as the Major pentatonic and Mixolydian mode. Combining Major and minor scales together will create some interesting frictions that will work in bluesy contexts.

    As always, memorize the different scales suggested, then try to combine them together to create some interesting ideas.
