I play ghost notes very often and without "real" intention
but as long as it sounds good,it's good.

I gotta admit, this lesson sounds a bit strange... Because as you said; "Hitting strings without meaning it produces ghost notes" is odd when it comes to you, since you play cleaner then fresh mountain water

Hello GMCers and welcome to the lesson about Ghost Notes In Solos. You have probably seen many ghost notes in certain solos, pointed in tabs with sign "x". Now, most of those ghost notes are done by accident and not on purpose.
Sometimes it's a note that isn't fretted hard enough or maybe an extra hit with the pick on muted string. In this lesson however, we will play these ghost notes on purpose, to get more rhythm in our soloing. As you will see, you can play just one, two or even more ghost notes in a row, with more of them you get a kind of percussion sound.
So, to get these ghost notes you need to slightly remove your finger from the string but not entirely, keep a contact with it to mute it, and then play it with the pick.
I'm sure this idea will expand your views. :)
It's in the key of G Dorian, chord progression contains only 2 chords, Gm7 and C7, scale we'll be using is straight G Dorian, tempo is 100bpm.
