  • Nuno Bettencourt has influenced thousands of players. His sense of rhythm placement combined with impressive technical skills make him one of the top players in modern music.

    Today we will study a piece written in his style. One of the aspects we'll talk about is how he combines rhythm elements with lead. The ideas exposed here should be helpful especially if you are writing something for only one guitar.

    As always, work on the following licks slowly and work your way up. Don't rush as your goal is to play these licks in rhythm. I added quite a few backing tracks and a looped backing for your convenience.
