Had a 3 yeas course by myself, but I own electric guitar just 1.5 years. Practiced pentatonic a lot. Didn't really understand it until recently. But now I can pick this notes with such ease thanks
Thanks a ton Ivan. This is brilliant....
Always a pleasure man - how's practicing going?
Thanks guys for your great feedback!
You're wellcome mate If You want to have a personal thread to add any questions / help requests for the lesson, You can contact me
Hey sims! Darius is right The pentatonic scale represents the skeleton of every mode. The minor pentatonic scale for the minor modes and the major pentatonic scale for the major modes. Learn the pentatonic scales and you will only have to think in terms of adding 2 other notes on their structure, in order to obtain a certain mode
hey darius! thanks for your immediate response and feedback! alright... i'll go step by step and then get into the modes. cheers man
Hey man! since Ivan is not available for constant feedback now, please direct Your requests to me
Your first idea was correct. Working with pentatonics makes easier to master the modes. Pentatonics are a very basic scales but cando miracles if combined with full spectrum of dynamics and articulation. I highly advice to avoid doing too many things at the same time. There is a huge risk that if we learn a lot of things in the same moment, we will much earlier forget some part of this knowledge. Doing step by step analysis gives long distance profits
hey ivan.. great lessons! do you recommend working on modes after the pentatonics or vice versa? cheers
Hy Ivan i finally made and subscribed
Finding back to the roots Great workshop !
Great, glad you found what you need my friend. Happy practicing. If you need any help, please let me know!
No words to say thanks man, this was exactly what i was looking for!
Hey Ivan, awesome workshop. One question, what do you mean by "legato"? Hammer Ons or simply a fluent playing?
Greetings
Hi Ivan,
few moire questions. I've been doing first and second part of your series for the past two weeks. I wanted to know whether i need to play the patterns from the second part with the top speed from the first part ? Or just match with your tempo ? And additionally, can u write how much time do u think have to be spent on the whole series ? Month ? Two ?
Cheers,
Pawel
Suggestion noted for future lessons. Thanks Gus.
This class is really great! I think I will incorporate it on my regular practicing, just increasing speed day by day.
Just one suggestion. For the diagonal patterns, it would be useful to add some text explanation. It took me 2-3 times coming back the video to be really sure about it.
Thanks! I'm glad you find it useful!
Great Lesson Ivan. Exactly what I needed. Thanks
great Ivan

Nice lesson!!!
Nice lesson Ivan
Great video editind mate !! love this lesson
Great lesson & main video is very inspiring.
You mean the first part?
Something very similar is being done as we speak. The fifth lesson of the series will have a pentatonic solo that will utilize everything learned in first 4 lessons. I am also considering in making a 6th lesson where I talk about pentatonic use in fusion and jazz, but there is time for that.
You should really tab that intro... Sounds awesome.
great pentatonic series man,very useful.
awsome
Thanks a lot guys!
I realize that the lesson may seem very similar at first glance, but they are not. For beginners they are essential and moving through the whole series really improves every aspect of pentatonic scale
