Really cool solo.
good lesson Roo!!
nrpstreetballa --> I guess the EMG81 help a lot (despite I play bridge position/more aggressive one/ on this guitar). I try to keep each single note at equal volume, which is easier to do when you play something note 4 note (opposed to impro). And pick the string the less posible, keep in timing...
jammer91 --> I didn't know about those additional tabs to do. Does every lesson must provide them?
Everything is in order now. Check the memberboard section/
Hi Rooo, What are the tabs for the backing track?
I usually go for the rhythm stuff more than lead...
Thx
fantastic lesson i love the flavor, i have one question how on earth do u get ur legato to sound so smooth, do u have any tips to achevie that sound????
also....part 8 is the fastest alt picking ive seen in a while!
i can't stop playing this lesson...such a distinct style
Roo,
This is great! The tapping part fits the song perfectly. Really glad you're teaching here and I'm looking forward to more!
Oh sorry-the powertab opens in that link on the forum, i just didnt notice that thread.
You mean the powerTab doesnt open? In the memberonly board here?: no?
https://www.guitarmasterclass.net/guitar_fo...hp?showforum=23
Ok. I send you that.
Hey Roo-could you email me the tab? For some reason it won't open ....If that's ok I'd be grateful! And my email is [email protected]
Thanks!
ch00ch00man: Fair enough - but this discussion is at the completely wrong place. If you read the teach online section you will see that gp tabs is completely optional for the instructors - if you feel that need to be discussed please do it in the forum.
This feedback is about Roo's first lesson - which I find so cool that I just have to sacrifice something to get a little extra practice time...haven't decided exactly what, though!
Ryan,
Advice well taken, and appreciated. Being something of a noob, I tend not want to develop any bad habits. I know that eventually I will have to develop a style of my very own, but for now, I'm happy just to be able to copy those I respect. That, and coupled with the fact that for me shred is the game, good technique means everything.
Thanks for the advice,
Boris
chOOchOOman:
You should really try to figure out the fingers on your own. So that when you come to situation thats totally new. You will have more experience of knowing how to finger things out that is comfortable for you. Because whats comfortable for one person. May not be comfortable to another!! (Not trying to be a a$$ or nothing just some advice)
Great lesson Roo!!
Kris,
I almost never practice to the videos. Its just too hard. I do watch the videos over and over, but mostly to get a look at the left hand fingering, as the tabs, even GP tabs, never have those. But practicing to the videos is just to difficult. Perhaps I over stated when I said useless, I do tend to be direct and to the point, mostly. But without timing information that a good score provides, I just don't know the rhythm. I don't for a second want to sound like the instructors, all instructors, are doing a great job. Like I said before, for my money, this is the best place to learn guitar.
Roo,
I really do appreciate you going the extra mile and giving me the snapshot of your PowerTab. I dont have PT (maybe I should invest). As we speak, I'm copying the snapshot in to GP. When I'm done I will be more than happy to share it with any GMC member, if its okay with you Roo and Kris. Let me know.
Thanks a lot,
Boris
Hey Roo, Nice first lesson! I really like the Satch spirit on this one. Welcome to GMC!
This solo rocks!
Ch00ch: Surely the tabs aren't useless to you in combination with the videos? A text tab alone doesn't say much - but when you also have the instructor showing you how to do it note-for-note in a closed-up video..?
Roo - if you want to upload another tab do it at the membersonly board:

Thanks everyone for nice words and comments.
Boris, you have perfectly to right to ask anything. I appreciate constructive comments. I don't have GP. It's a shame I do agree. Nevertheless, I sent you the PowerTab file of this lesson and quality screenshot. I don't know exaclty who has acces to the paying section. I can send the same to members who pratice that lesson for ex. Is that Ok for you Kris. I stay tuned.
Although it is pretty hard.....
Great first lesson!I'll be practicing this!
cool...new GMC style to add to the others
This is a very cool solo. I cant wait to see more of you.
-John
Sounds very similar to Satch's Raspberry Jam Delta V tune, my favorite! Always wanted to know the style and the mode he was playing that to, thanks Roo!
Roo,
Great lesson! I really like the feel of it, and it goes great with my practice routine (alternate picking and legato). Please don't take it the wrong way, I'm not trying to be an ungrateful ass, but. The tabs, especially for this kind of music are fairly useless. And trying to learn from the videos is extremely tedious and frustrating. As I have begged others before, so I will beg you. Please, please, please... post GuitarPro tabs.
Thank you much,
Boris
Hey this is awesome!! i love the tapping stuff, i even sense a little Kiko Loureiro in your style!!
Cool Roo - great first lesson, thanks!
Hiya Roo - big welcome to GMC ... nice lesson, sounds great! D
Cool, but hard to play...
Great first one Roo,many cool things inside,
