Love these series! I'm new to 8 finger tapping so this will help me as well!
Hi there! Welcome to my fifth 8-finger tapping basics lesson titled '8-Finger Tapping Basics #5'. The aim of this lesson is to help you improve your right hand precision on shifting between strings. I've divided the lesson into two exercises, a) and b).
a) Various fingering patterns, by combining fingers in pairs, so that you can learn to separate them and to better control them individually.
Tempo: 120 BPM;
Time signature: 3/4;
b) Here, the idea is to shift to the string below when you change the fret (finger), and descend it with a mirror of the ascending pattern, applying that on each 4-string groups on your fingerboard.
Tempo: 120 BPM;
Time signature: 4/4.
When you feel confident playing exercise a), you can switch to exercise b).
Have fun! :)
