  • Hi GMC!

This is a short piece composed in contemporary jazz manner, with application of standard II-V-I harmonies, as well as some more advanced stuff. Blues scaled is used very carefully, focusing more on rhythmical phrasing then just scales, and that is what is true for all scales, especially the simple ones as pentatonic and blues; When you have limited range of tones, or you play over single chord one of the best ways is to try to be rhythmically creative. I also used standard II-V-I chord progression, with interesting ending, chromatic min6(min7-5) arpeggio sequence. Main chord used in this solo is Bmin7, II-V-I sequence is Emin7, Dmaj7, C#min7-5, chromatic arpeggios sequence is Dmin7-5, D#min7-5, Emin7-5, Fmin7-5.

    Enjoy!
