    THE PROFESSOR In this rhythmically and harmonically cool lesson by Andre, you are checking out some very seriously hip arpeggios and scale ideas that are based on familiar shapes, but with a new light and new angle to these common fretboard ideas.

    By learning how to play and build maj7 arpeggio, learning maj9 arpeggios, and studying up on the Major Scale for Guitar, you will be giving yourself all the information you need to master the cool-sounding ideas in this lesson.

    Hello folks!

    It's good to be back.

    In this lesson we'll take a closer look at part A of one of my original songs - it's called Brazilian Fusion.
    The song contains a mixture of brazilian acoustic guitar, syncopated melodies, overdriven guitars, time signature changes and samba-inspired drums. I had no hard time choosing its name! I really like this melody, you can sing the most of it.

    Main melody (overdriven guitar) - parts 1 to 6
    ---------------------------

    No mysteries here, though part 4 has a very fast fingerstyle-legato run, all the other stuff are just slow melodies.

    Acoustic part - parts 7 to 12
    -----------

    It's very simple, but pay attention to those chords - they go by pretty fast, so I suggest to start practicing really slow.
    Part 9 is really challenging to play, because not only you have to play the chords but let them ring as well.

    Let's have fun!

    Main key = E major

    Tuning = Standard

    BPM = 100

    Gear = Suhr Modern Frost, Bogner Red pedal, Two Notes Torped CAB, Takamine E30X, Apogee Duet2, Logic Pro 9.
