THE PROFESSOR Building your Aeolian Scale Chops will help you get this, and any other Paul Gilbert style material under your fingers and into your playing.

    Welcome to my new lesson!

I'm taking another look at the guitar playing of Paul Gilbert. Paul is legendary for his alternate picking but he also mixes it up with legato quite often. That is our main focus of this lesson.

Combining hammer ons and pull offs with picking is not only just a good way to make things interesting, it also conserves energy by reducing the amount of picking.

    This lesson will work on:

    - Legato
    - Alternate picking
    - Finger stamina
    - Finger shifting / 3 note per string patterns

If you're someone who wants to add a bit more variety to the same old 3 note per string patterns then this lesson is for you. Grab that guitar and shred like a demon!
