  • Hey guys! Welcome to this new lesson.

    In this one, we work on a sequence of different funk patterns using also the "swing" feel to improve our rhythmical control.

    I hope this will help you improve your octave chord melody composition while improvising also.

    The whole piece is built around the F#m7, B7, and DMaj7 chords.

    The key modulates between E and D.

    Tempo : 110 bpm

    Time Signature : 4/4

    Key signature : E (F# Dorian) then temporary modulation to D (within the 3rd section) and back to E
