  • Hi GMC'ers! In this lesson I'll show you some licks and phrasing in the style of this great Canadian blues guitarist named Pilip Sayce. Philip played with Jeff Healey and his band when he was very young and grew up in Toronto, Canada.

    The lesson starts out with a shuffle rhythm and continues through 8 bars. The same rhythm can be applyed underneath the solo. The solo starts out with a great blues bend and continues with a typical blues lick. The rest of the solo contains typical elements of Philip Sayce's playing style.

    Techniques:
    * Blues Shuffle
    * Big Bends
    * Bluesy Licks
    * Hammer-ons
    * Pull-offs
    * Slides

    Listening Recommendations:
    * Peace Machine (2005)
    * Innerrevolution (2010)

    I hope You'll like my new lesson! Have a good practice!/ Denes
