Hello again students, colleagues and visitors of GMC!
We will study an icon in the history of the guitar, a warrior of the blues, ladys and gentlemen: Steve Ray Vaughan (applause).
He is owner of a sound, vibrato and an unmistakable voice. The licks and notes in this style are used by many guitarists; a combination between his fender Stratocaster and his Tube Screamer gain effects give a middle frequency to his sound.
There is not really much to say, but there is much to feel.
For those who want to enter or discover new blues guitarists definitely, I recommend listen this titan of the guitar.
He is really owner of a unique style.
The blues is characterized by the expression gotten in a few notes. The blues is feeling. The real blues guitarist bet to the note, the silence and expression at the right time. That's why we use a few notes of the scale and combine them, if you look, is more difficulty to mix 5 notes than 7.
Chords:
B – F# – E – B – F#
Techniques:
Legato
Palm Muting
Alternate Picking
Slide
Vibrato
Blending
Scales:
- B Pentatonic Minor + Blues note
- B Pentatonic Major + Blue note
Ok my friend, let´s Rock! Enjoy the lesson
