  • Memorizing modes can be difficult without a little help. Today's lesson should help you in that matter. Because the modes we'll be working on are all related to each other since all extracted from a common Major scale, the whole backing track should sound natural to the ear and guide you through the different scale positions you'll be working on.

Make sure that all your notes sound clean and pay attention to the fingering used. As you memorize this lesson, you should learn the names of the modes played as they will become very handy when the time comes for you to use them in your improvisations. Start with the opening video as it should answer the questions you might have on what modes are.

    Practice well!
