Excellent lesson David!
Discussions about modes have been popping up on the forum lately. Your questions have inspired this lesson in which we'll work on memorizing the church modes. Don't be overwhelmed by the speed of this. Your main focus should be to memorize by heart the following positions and know their names.
From a technical point of view, we'll use a legato technique which enables the guitar part to sound a bit smoother than straight alternate picking.
You'll notice that instead of playing the modes in the same key, we'll play them in a chromatic way which adds an interesting twist to the track. Your concentration should be maximum if you want to overcome this lesson.
Practice slowly with confidence that much time spent on this lesson will have its rewards! Have fun and work hard!
