Arpeggios Lesson

Hello GMC!

-In today's lesson we are going to learn some arpeggio shapes and forms which are essential for your bass line construction and improvisation.Arpeggios are same as chords, but played one note at a time.

-In this lesson I will show you 4 arpeggio shapes - major 7, minor 7, dominant 7 and minor7b5 both in ascending and descending pattern. So it's 8 shapes to learn by heart!

-In videos 1-8 you will see proper fingering for different arpeggios and their shapes which will help you memorize them very fast.They will be a valuable arsenal of notes which you can use for successful bass line construction and improvising.

-Also while playing arpeggios you will practice your left hand fingering (one finger per fret) technique and also right hand alternating fingerpicking. So it's a good technique practice too, besides its theory value!

Equipment I've used for getting this sound was: Peavey Cirrus bass with active soapbar pickups, equal mix of both of them with added bass and treble on onboard eq - then going to the nemesis (eden) amp with a 1x15" and slightly added bass and treble there (at 1 o'clock position).
