Hi, GMC! Here comes the fourth study in D major from Matteo Carcassif's "25 Melodious Studies for Guitar". The first three studies are for the right hand development. Now, this one is for the left hand.
It's a "pull-off mania" with pinky and ring finger. I know most of the Shredders have no problem moving the left hand fingers very fast, but some beginners and even intermediate players have difficulty in controlling them.
Pull-offs on the acoustic guitars are much harder than playing them on the electric guitars. Without amplification, you need to make clear and even sounds. Clear sounds do not come from "strong fingers". They come from "controlled fingers".
Slow study is the best way to learn control. This study provides nice triplets to get you in control.
