  • Hello GMC! Today we'll see the second part of the vibrato. In the main video, I use a song for the demostration of vibrato, as usual. You can hear it when I sustain the notes, no matter which vowel or which note, your vocal cords must be flexible in any pitch or vowel!

So, in this lesson we'll work with all the vowels. In the next videos I used the vowels "AH" ( like in the word CAR or BAR), "EE" ( like in "FEET") and the vowel "U" (like in "boots). But you have to practice all of them including the "OH" and the "EH".

The way to do this excercise is thinking that the vibrato is not only an oscillation of pitches (as we saw in the lesson of vibrato, first part). It is also a variation of air when you are singing. So a perfect combination of both important things make the vibrato happen.

Well, in this second part we'll try to practice that variation of air and it helps a lot if we try to imagine that you are shaking hands with a huge polar bear who is a thousand times stronger than you are. So if we sing eeeeeeeeeeeee the sound of the voice must be ee-ee-ee-ee-ee- and then let your voice take on a rhythmic pulsing.

    Good luck!

    Luciana
