  • Pentatonic scales are a great way to get into lead playing. In today's lesson, we'll try to use that scale blending several positions together. The key is to find positions that will be close to each other.

The 3 keys we'll be playing in are A minor, B minor and D minor. On the first key, we'll use the 1st position of A minor pentatonic. On the first modulation, we'll use the 5th position of B minor pentatonic as it stays in the same area of the fretboard as for the first scale. Then on D minor, we'll use the 4th position.

Memorize all positions, and work through the examples slowly.

    Have fun!
