Spot on Gerardo,distance on higher strings is 3 frets which is great for 1-4 fingers.
However distance on lower strings is 2 frets and 1-3 is logic fingering I must say.
Seems like I played ALL octaves here with 1-4,
think I have better control over muting with my pinky,dunno

You know how to play everything, about the octave montgomery thing some people for left hand use 1-4 for ocatves in thew trebly strings and 1-3 for the octave is on lower strings, it helps a lot if the melody go fast and need to switch strings very fast.

Playing octaves is a fairly easy way to get a powerful sound from you guitar + if you add some distortion and play with a pick, the technique is all of a sudden perfect for rock and metal. What are you waiting for?!

Hello GMC and welcome to another lesson from Jazzy Swing serial, Intermediate level this time.
It's all played in octaves,sort of Wes Montgomery style.:) Simply use your thumb to brush these octaves but be sure to have proper left hand muting, you might have some unwanted notes otherwise.
Once more we are using D major scale mostly with some neighbor notes and notes "out" of scale, just to follow our chord progression here.
