Great lesson, Bogdan! Very useful exercises!
Cool excercises!
Do that Alex, you can definitly use these techniques and adapt them to guitar...Principles stay the same.Though its little harder to slap on guitar but it can be done
This is really cool! love that sound, gonna check previous lesson. And I`ll try to use slap on guitar, since I`m not a bass player
Thanks guys! I'm glad Berko your brother is enjoying these lessons. This particular lesson in this series is aimed at developing left hand slap technique which is essential(and with exercises like these not that hard to master).
This series is great! I know you did slap bass stuff earlier but going back to the very basics is essential. My brother is learning bass and this is what just he needed to start off with slapping
Really great lesson Bogdan !
Glad to see you are doing slap lessons
Hello GMC!
-In this lesson you are going to practice slap bass style of playing. This lesson will exclusively concentrate to left hand slap technique development. Doing these exercises regularly will allow you to execute left hand slaps accurately and with control. Left hand slapping technique is integral part of any slap bass line and learning to play that way will enable you to improvise your own slap lines well.
-This lesson includes:
* number of exercises aimed for development of left hand slap technique
* prepared loop able guitar pro file for practicing and playing along as well as audio backing tracks with a real drums groove in various tempos for more fun while practicing
-Time signature: 4/4
-Difficulty: for all levels of playing
-Tuning: standard EADG
Equipment I used for getting this sound was: Peavey Cirrus bass with active pickups, equal mix of both of them with added bass and treble on on board eq - then going to the nemesis(eden) amp with a 1x15" and slightly added bass and treble there (at 1 o'clock position).
Feel free to ask me any questions in the lesson feedback and in the forum.
Enjoy and have a lot of fun enhancing your thumpin' skills!
