  • -Hello GMC ! Today we have a exercise lesson on our hands. You are going to learn a set of exercises that will help you start with or develop your existing slab bass technique. This is the fastest way of getting slapping down and developing strength and durability needed.

    This lesson includes :
    * number of exercises aimed for development of right and left hands in slap bass style of playing
    * prepared loop able guitar pro file for practicing and playing along as well as mp3 audio backing tracks with a real drums groove for more fun practicing covering a large number of tempos

-Scale used for composing these exercises was G major scale.

    -Key: G
-Tempo: 110 bpm (you control tempo when you practice)
    -Time signature: 4/4
-Difficulty: for all levels of playing
    -Tuning: standard EADG

Equipment I used for getting this sound was: Peavey Cirrus bass with active pickups, equal mix of both of them with added bass and treble on on board eq - then going to the nemesis(eden) amp with a 1x15" and slightly added bass and treble there (at 1 o'clock position).

Feel free to ask me any questions in the lesson feedback and in the forum.

Enjoy and have a lot of fun practicing your thumpin' skills!
