  • Hello GMC!

-In this lesson we are going to learn how to play 7th chords shapes on bass! This is a follow up lesson to "chords on bass 1" so make sure that you go through it first. Knowing these chords shapes will help you build more complex and interesting bass lines. You are going to learn 4 new chord shapes in this one for major7, minor7, dominant7, minor7b5 chords.

-In this lesson you are going to learn a little jazzy feel tune and play chords on bass exclusively. You are going to use fingerstyle in this one.

-This lesson will show you major7, minor7, dominant7, minor7b5 chords shapes for bass, play triple stops using your fingers, put your theory knowledge into practice, develope left hand dexterity..

-This lesson is in D major key. Check out my "Harmonizing Major Scale part 2" lesson to learn the theory knowledge needed to build 7th chords in one key.

    Key: D
    Tempo: 120 bpm
    Time signature: 4/4
    Tuning: standard
    Difficulty: beginner/intermediate

Equipment I've used for getting this sound was: Peavey Cirrus bass with active soapbar pickups, equal mix of both of them with added bass and treble on onboard eq - then going to the nemesis (eden) amp with a 1x15" and slightly added bass and treble there (at 1 o'clock position).

Feel free to ask me any questions in the lesson feedback and in my instructor board at forum.

Enjoy and I hope you'll have a lot of fun grooving this one!
