  • Tapping is one of the most rewarding guitar techniques. Playing wide intervals on the fretboard with such a visual impact is so much fun! Today we'll take a look at an 8 finger tapping exercise that should help you develop a strong two handed technique.

The key to playing this the right way is to synchronize both hands. Each time you tap a note with your right hand index, you want to place your left hand index on the fretboard. It should be a very synchronized movement. Work very slow and build speed gradually.

All the licks are played in sixteenth notes and should be played in a very relaxed way. If you feel too much tension in your right hand, take a break and come back to the exercise later.

Also, remember to spend most of your time muting all unnecessary string noises. Analyzing your hand position at a very slow tempo will help you in that matter.

    Have fun!
