Glad you like it, welcome to GMC!
cool lesson!great riffing:)
Yes,with G# instead of G you'd get pure A major/ionian.
Muris, if I would play this lesson but change all G 's to G#'s ... is it an Major riffing lesson?
Thanks again Muris. Almost done. The last 4 bars are being a pain though. (Sigh)
Sure,why not.
Just upload it somewhere in my private board
so we could discuss it.
muris what if i make a new solo over the backing of this riff and send it to u??
i just thought of one about now...
You're welcome Gary, glad you have joined GMC
Muris, what a fantastic lesson series! You teach us the main riff, and then build upon it with beginner, intermediate, and advanced solos over the top of it. I'm really going to enjoy mastering this. Thanks so much!!!!
Cheers Carlos,thanks
hey muris!!!!!!!!!
great lesson!!!!!!!!!!!
thanks
Keep it up Eddie, keep it up!!
Gee... I still can't do it right,
but this makes me feel like a real rocker!
I just LOVE this!
Thanx
Oh man, this is so cool,
and I LOVE those octaves!
Thanks Joe,glad you like it!!
Great Riff
You are welcome!
Feel free to visit my "Ask Instructor" board and ask if you need any help.
aaah, i see! thanks a lot, muris!
Hi there!
Must correct you a bit regarding to terminology, there is no long scale.
In our diatonic world we have only 7 notes, that's the scale.
And we practicing it by connecting these notes through boxes and fingerboard.
You are probably thinking of this lick at the end.
i've seen a lot of these extremely long scales, but i'm not sure i understand how they're played. how do you go about practicing the a mixolydian scale?
muris you'r the man!!
love your lessons!
Thanks guys,glad you like it!!
Yep,The Light Pick once again
cool lesson. thanks.
Wow! I like it!
Oh, excellent lesson !!!! great riffs
Excellent lesson, can't wait for the solo
Thanks alot!
yeah lightning pick again
awsome riffing
thx muris
Really awesome lesson!! I LOVE Mixolydian, I use it alot when making riffs, even for my black metal band!
I'm feeling some awesome satch vibes from this!
Thanks Muris! I've been meaning to go back to some riffing instead of constantly playing your alternate picking exercise 24/7! (not that i'll be dropping it, ohh not yet...)
Thanks everybody!!
Yeah, the solo part is gonna have 3 parts actually, beginner, intermediate and advanced,
so everyone shall have something to play over it.
Awesome lesson Muris!
I love it!
Reminds me of the band Extreme a little...
Great riffing. Can't wait to hear the second part.
Awesome! (Oh and people I am warning you for Part 2 - not something for the feeble...!)
Either way. it's a great idea to split this kind of lessons up: today you will learn useful mixolydian riffing ideas - and the second part will show you how to solo, stay tuned!
